说到西伯利亚，就不得不提到“西伯利亚的蓝眼睛”——贝加尔湖。贝加尔湖，名称源于古肃慎语“贝海儿湖”，汉代称为“北海”，位于俄罗斯东西伯利亚南部，是世界上年代最久的湖泊，为世界第七大湖。历史上曾长期是中国的固有领土，并且是中国古代北方游牧民族主要活动地区，也是汉代苏武牧羊之地。
